wild rag style ideas

By now I hope you've checked out our newest product, the Wild Rag. Jenni wrote about her creative and design processfor the Wild Rag launch earlier this week. I talked a little bit about how to wear a wild rag in my last post, but we want to go into more detail for you, with pictures!

Style #1

how to wear a square knot / bandana slide

This first style echoes a square knot tie. Instead of tying the ends of the wild rag, Jenni likes using one of our silver and turquoise or brass bandana slides to hold the scarf in place. This is a very classic look. Watch any old cowboy movie or search for wild rag styles online and you'll see the wrap-around square knot tie. It keeps your neck warm, or cool (fabric keeps sweat off your neck). The extra fabric can be used to cover your face from dust or wind. We think that this also looks wonderful as an accent scarf to any outfit.

step 1

Fold the wild rag in half, so it is a triangle. Hold the two ends of the scarf in front of your face, with the top of the triangle pointed down.

step 2

Wrap the ends of the wild rag around your neck so they crossover behind your head. The two ends should be hanging down in front of you.

step 3

For a square knot tie the two ends (in front) crossing right over left, then a second knot crossing left over right. To get the look you see above, use a bandana slide to hold things in place!

Style #2

stylish scarf drape

One corner of our wild rag is embroidered with a stylized horseshoe and our signature mantra, Be Brave. A printed design follows the endless of the fabric leading to the shibori technique dye pattern that spots the piece like stars. Our second how to wear recommendation show off the design.

step 1

First, fold the wild rag in half, so it is a triangle. Hold the two ends of the scarf in front of you, with the top of the triangle pointed down. Make sure that the corner you want the world to see is away from you.

step 2

Tie the two ends of the scarf behind your neck. That's it!

OR you can use a leather bandana slide to hold the wild rag in place.

Style #3

how to wear waist wrap

This style adds a flair to a pair of jeans, or perhaps another beautiful layer to a skirt or dress.

step 1

Fold the wild rag in half, so it is a triangle. Hold the two ends of the scarf in front of you, with the top of the triangle pointed down. Make sure that the corner you want the world to see is away from you.

step 2

Bring the ends of the wild rag around your waist and through two belt loops. Then tie the ends together.

Let us know if there are other ways you wear your wild rag!
