Yup, when you walk in your Danskos, they should 'flap' a bit like an open-back sandal, allowing a stable base at the front of your foot and open-back feeling at the heel.

Early feedback and our own experience has shown that the Jenni edition shoes may run slightly larger than Dansko standard sizing. We think this is because this is the first time they've embroidered a Dansko shoe style, and the leather may have stretched just a bit while on the special machine!

For this reason, we recommend sizing down if you're between sizes. For example, our website gal Allie wears a 7.5 in Nike but a 7 in most other brands; she purchased the Jenni Clog in size 37 (US 6.5-7).

It may also just be a case of not being used to the back-of-heel space that's meant to be there! (See above) If you're new to Danskos, this might take some getting used to, but we're certain that if you wear them around the house for a day you'll see just how supportive and comfy these are!
